PFLAG is an international organization and has education for all ages. They recently had training on understanding the language around Transgender people and how to support gender identities. They have resources and support groups for friends and family of people who are LGBTQ.
Passion to Legacy, a Sports Business Podcast
The biggest challenge LGBTQ teens face when coming out is losing support and being disowned by friends and family. Kim talks about how 50% of homeless youth in the US identify as LGBTQ. To help communities, PFLAG tries to partner with different outreach centers to help provide resources for homelessness.
PFLAG has trained speakers who travel to churches, schools, police stations, etc., to educate people of all ages on how to support the LGTBQ population.
